Alexandria, VA was settled in 1695 on the Potomac River. The Old Towne retains the colonial spirit with cobblestone streets and historic buildings along King St.
U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum
We spent a busy day exploring the Capitol, The National Botanical Garden, and taking a trip to historic Alexandria for dinner. Also on this page is a glimpse of where we stayed--Crystal City. Sunday morning we were able to get into the Holocaust Museum, which was powerful and overwhelming.
